About
Jim Eve is the founder of Calling All Poets, Inc. which is currently in its nineteenth year. Currently based at the Roost Gallery and Studio in New Paltz, New York. The series takes place the first Friday of each month. He has been a facilitator of poetry for over thirty years. He tinkers with words, writing scattered thoughts some call poetry. From the late 70's to present day Jim have fostered and participated in spreading poetry throughout Dutchess County and the Hudson Valley. He participated with the Second Sunday Poetry group out of the Old Mid-Hudson Arts and Science building in Poughkeepsie, NY. The Hudson Valley Writers Association out of the Jewish Community Center and Raymond Ave. School in Poughkeepsie. The Howland Library in Beacon, NY where he started Mount Beacon Poetry Society, which had a brief run of a year . He move on to become a member of the Howland Cultural Center's board of directors in 1998 and
in 1999 started up the Calling All Poets Series in Beacon NY.
